I Have Found a Pet, What Do I Do?

Please be careful handling an unknown animal. Lost pets may be frightened and may bite or scratch.

  • Notify animal shelters and local veterinarians.
  • Have the pet scanned for a microchip at an animal shelter or a veterinarian's office.
  • Place found fliers in the area you found the pet.
  • Post notices on neighborhood Facebook Lost/Found Pet pages.
  • Report a found pet on 24PetConnect.com or Nextdoor.com.
