Don’t give up! Many well-meaning people may be unaware that it is unlawful to keep a stray animal and may not immediately take a found pet to an animal care center. They may keep it at their home for several weeks, hoping to find the owner on their own.
Remember:
Shelters receive animals other than dogs and cats. If you have lost ANY animal, please check your local shelter and file a lost report.
